heading off to Dubai for a week, business but it crosses the weekend so i will also have plenty of lazy time by the pool

CH fairly quiet at the moment, had a shower, dropped off shoes for a shine, deli for starters

not sure what the bubbly is, tastes different, not as dry, but i've got a cold so might just be my tastebuds!

will have a couple more to test, then burger time!

Enjoy the CH and I'm sure it won't take long in the Dubai heat to sweat out your cold.

thanks! i've planned ahead, in my case is a bag with all my pool stuff ready so i can make a fast move on check-in

turns out even my impaired tastebuds were alert, they're serving jacquart bubbly now, with lanson available if requested, menu card still says lanson, maybe it'll be "while stocks last"

Enjoy the rest of your time in the CH and have a great flight! Glad you'll have some downtime with your business trip.

They are currently serving Jacquart in the CH at LHR though stocks of Lanson are very limited and when it's gone, it's gone by all accounts. I'm currently over in Dubai enjoying simply beautiful weather. The cold will disappear quickly I'm sure.

Have a good flight. When we travelled out on the VS400 last Saturday we had to be de-iced before leaving the gate and then didn't have any IFE for the first hour. It was then 0100 before the lights were dimmed before they were switched on again at 0330 for the breakfast service in UC.

The FSM was excellent - though sadly the same could not be said for others in the CC.

It was interesting to see the CC try and handle the new service standards too as some were operating a flight for the first time since the changes. The use of the trolley, to set the tables & serve wine and water, on a full flight in UC on an A346 seemed to take so much longer than before.

Have a good trip.

Jon
