Good evening fom Club America, Miami

I suspect most of you are fast asleep over there in blighty, but I just dropped in to say we are waiting for our flight home on Dream Girl, and am very excited to be flying the 787-9 later.
Departing from MIA seems to be the anithesis of arriving. There were no queues at check-in (for any class on VS), the security line was empty- the TSA staff were all stood around waiting for passengers. The Club America Lounge had just 3 other people in it on arrival at 7pm (getting a little busier now).
I have to say I have not found the lounge to be dreadful at all. The staff have been very polite and friendly, the food is actually fresh and edible (albeit a limited selection but no problem for me as I intend to eat heartily on the flight home, but passengers who may prefer a meal and sleep for most of the flight may be inconvenienced) and the bar looks satisfactory (though I am on diet coke and coffee). I have certainly been in many worse airport lounges, though sadly it is no Virgin Clubhouse!
A nice relaxing end to a great holiday, although driving (or should I say crawling along) the freeways around Miami this afternoon tested my patience (and bladder capacity) to the limit
