Seems to be confirmed, looks like VS is replacing Delta on the route. A great addition to options to the West Coast of the US.

I wonder if DL are grabbing one of VS's current routes as a 'swap'?

Great news!
I wonder if we might soon hear of another 'DL' route that VS are taking over.....

Wouldn't expect this to be the only announcement for S17 schedule. Erik Varwijk Exec VP Commercial has been quoted recently saying VS will continue to build on their Delta JV.

Had this mentioned to me by the CSS on my recent flight.
I wonder which route DL will take over to accommodate this?

I'd have a guess at Detroit

VS already fly there, they started that route in June last year.
I've seen Denver mentioned a couple of times, so that may be one possibility for another new route perhaps?

Denver would be brilliant. Would love to be able to go skiing direct on VS.

Can't see Denver somehow, it's not a DL hub nor a big enough business or holiday destination. MSP or SLC would be more likely - or maybe increased frequency to ATL as that route seems to be doing well.

I must put my glasses on more
I was guessing at which route VS will be handing back to Delta to get the Seattle route

This is great news. I wonder if they'll operate it year round, or if it will be seasonal? There's a big work convention in Seattle in March that would make this route would be very useful to us.

Looks like a May 1st launch unfortunately, if Routes Online is correct.

If this does come to pass, this could be a great opportunity for a V Flyer Get Together
Just think, a visit to the Boeing Factory

Would love to see SLC or DEN.
Have skied in Utah 2 years running - amazing place but direct flights would be great. Same for Denver - the Utah and Colorado ski resorts would welcome it too.

If it does turn out to be DTW that is dropped I'll be very disappointed, even if it swapped with DL. Not that I can think of a better alternative!

I can highly recommend this tour. My love of planes could be described as unhealthy, but even one with a minor interest would find it impressive. We're actually heading there at the start of July - it's okay to start saying 'in a few weeks' right?! I'll take some photos and report back.
Really pleased about this new route. Always fancied a few days in Seattle tied in with an Alaskan cruise.

Flights for 1st & 2nd May are already loaded in the booking engine. So far it says miles can't be used so will be interesting to see reward availability as the route opens up.

Going tomorrow if anyone has any specific questions. No cameras on the tour unfortunately!
