I just received the text below which is for a flight I took last month
We are sorry to advise you of the following flight cancellation: VS107 14MAY has been cancelled on ref *****. You have been rebooked onto the VS4017 from Heathrow on 14MAY at 14:25 arriving into Detroit at 17:53. Your new flight is operated by Delta Airlines from Heathrow Terminal 3. If you have any connecting flights or ancillaries please call us on +44 (0) 344 209 8711 or +1 800 862 8621

How weird!!
I wonder if they are starting to cancel next year's VS107s in light of the switch and have mistakenly "cancelled" your one from this year.

I wonder if it's Detroit-related? I received this email at 9:54 AM:
"We are sorry to advise you of the following flight cancellation: VS108 06JUL has been cancelled on ref xxxxxx. You have been rebooked onto the VS4018 from Detroit on 06JUL at 22:28 arriving into Heathrow at 11:05 the next day. Your new flight is operated by Delta Airlines. If you have any connecting flights or ancillaries please call us on +44 (0) 344 209 8711 or +1 800 862 8621."
I then received this email at 10 AM:
"We are sorry the previous message was incorrect ref xxxxxx. Your flight is not cancelled and you are still booked on the VS0108, operated by Virgin Atlantic, departing at 00:00. We are very sorry for the confusion caused."

I got the the same email and rebooking for my flights to DTW in September 2016. Then a text about the same thing as above. Then another email (followed by another text) saying my flight is operating as scheduled by VS at midnight (00:00).
Then ANOTHER email and text saying that the previous was again incorrect and gave the correct flight, date and flight number.
