V-Flyer

I was a bit surprised when I purchased a ticket on the VS website today to find the image of a VS and DL plane side by side (the presence of the DL plane of no relevance).
Presumably it is a matter of time before 'someone' decides it would be a good idea to combine the logos on VS planes.
It has not gone un-noticed that the UC bar on the 787 has the DL logo embossed all over the side.

Can't say I'm really surprised at all, it's a subtle way of promoting the VS-DL joint venture and given the number of DL flights and connections available to book it's perfectly possible that someone would have a ticket that involves one or both airlines.

As for the DL branding on the UC bar, they look like triangles to me!

There are photos / images on the BA website of BA and AA planes next to each other. Some even have IB in them too as well as Finnair. which are part of their Joint business venture.

I don't agree with you. Photos on the BA website alongside AA or IB planes only appear where the information on the page relates to the JV. For example, recent promotions on extra avios points for TATL flights when taken with BA or another member of the JV have had the tails of the carriers in the JV shown.

You wouldn't have an AA tail alongside a BA tail on random pages of the BA website. Looking st the image the OP posted, it appears the DL tail appears on an itinerary page or a conformation page- BA wouldn't do that.

So it does seem that VS are slowly introducing the DL brand to passengers in subtle ways. However, I can't see jointly liveried planes just yet.

Indeed - I used it for a recent trip and thought it was great. If this gives VS impetus or incentive to review their app it would be most welcome.

I doubt DL would be daft enough to try to lose the VS brand at all just yet. The DL name in the UK is not strong enough. They'd los traffic. Anyway, they still only own 49%...!
