Virgin Atlantic on Twitter

I'm a great fan of Twitter.

(Much less grief than the other famous social media outlet - probably something to do with the small number of characters you have to use on each tweet )

Was watching virgins Twitter fed this morning for details on their new order and whilst waiting, was reading some of the tweets they receive from passengers.

Some of them are amazing and am guessing, given the unreal and strange questions / comments, are done in a state of panic - if you want cheered up and some interesting info, have a look at the full conversations.

Just search @virginatlantic on Twitter.com. You don't even have to be a member.

I often read their Twitter feed on a rainy lunch break, my favourite recently was a few weeks back can't remeber it fully was something like 'I thought my flight was tomorrow but it was actually yesterday, I booked through Expedia can you rebook me please'

I've done this a few times too. The Miami lounge seems to be a favourite bugbear of many.

Well I didn't really understand Twitter, but having checked out Virgin Atlantic's Twitter page well now,
I still don't understand.
I'm sure anything of real interest will show up here anyway.

Thats very true Dicky. The only time I've ever logged on to use the VA twitter page was a couple of years ago when I had issues with flight times changing. Everyone on v-flyer was so supportive and it was suggested that I tweet a comment on Twitter - not something I was familiar with I must say! However they responded and the result was positive, so on that ocassion I was grateful.

However Twitter seems to be a place where people can rant and let off steam but often in a very agressive and abusive way. When 'tweeting' on the topic of football, my son seems to forget his upbringing :-O That kind of social media is something I stay away from. Thank goodness this site is closely monitored and it is a pleasure to post along with fellow Virgin Atlantic followers.
