Questions about Gatwick Lounges (travelling UC)

Hi,
We will be traveling out of and back to Gatwick.
We have previously used the Clubhouse and arrivals lounge in Heathrow.
1. How does the LGW CH compare with Heathrow?
2. Is there an arrivals lounge (or use of) in LGW?
Thanks

I'm sure Buns will be along shortly to sing LGWs praises, as even though its smaller, he and a few others prefer it's intimate atmosphere and the service. I'll be using it for the first tine in a few weeks myself too. AFAIK there is no arrivals lounge at LGW though.

To echo Bretty's observation, the LGW CH is less overtly "cool" than the CH at LHR. When we've travelled through they share your excitement that you're off to foreign parts at the pointy end. There is no VS equivalent of the Arrivals Lounge though...

The current Gatwick Clubhouse is far smaller than Heathrow, but what it might lack in "wow" factor is more than compensated by the excellent service by the team there.
As it is only open for the morning, the shift patterns mean that the team are often working together to make every guest feel special. The spa is much smaller than Heathrow and with only two therapists on duty, slots often go quickly if you are travelling at peak time (9 - 11). There is no hairdressing available, so just plan to enjoy the many breakfast offerings and the usual range of cocktails
Virgin do not provide any arrivals facilities like Revivals

I doubt you will be disappointed with the LGW Clubhouse, a lovely start to a holiday.

LGW is much smaller with less facilities but much less hectic and noisy, more a small club than a cool canteen, a bit harsh but last time I was at LHR it was manic. LGW is more relaxed and I find a better experience prior to a flight. Hope you enjoy your time there and your trip.

Note that all the above applies until January, when VS moves to the North Terminal complete with a brand new Clubhouse.
We don't yet know what's in store there.

Agree with others regarding being smaller with a friendly team.
It is a real oasis of tranquility when you step from the mayhem of the south terminal into the clubhouse.
Spa is smaller than LHR but very nice and Mrs M has always managed to get a treatment or two in !
We have used the LGW facility many times over the years and will be sorry to see it go but equally exited to see the replacement.
There is no arrivals facility LGW

To add to what has already been said (with of course particular mention to the caveat by Gumshoe).
This recently posted Vlog on YouTube posted by Spoonfullofsugar, gives a good insight into the Gatwick Clubhouse experience and a particularlly good overview of the LGW 747 UC Cabin
