Delta to close their T3 Arrivals Lounge

Delta is closing their arrivals lounge at T3, and will instead use Virgin Atlantic's Revivals lounge for their qualifying passengers.

It seems usage of Revivals is currently low, so no expansion is taking place to accommodate extra pax.

I know lots of people who just want to get home when they arrive at Heathrow, so interesting to see what impact this will have.

Thanks for the link

In one way, i suppose it was inevitable once Delta decided to move all flights to Terminal 3.

As you say, time will tell if Revivals gets to become crowded - much will depend on the criteria imposed on Delta passengers for entry.

When I was in Revival on Tues morning, there where only around half a dozen pax in there. Only 2 of those where off my VS12 flight (which had a full J cabin).

VS never seem to want to advertise the use of Revivals very much now (it's certainly no longer mentioned at check-in or on-board) and I'm sure many pax are not even aware of it's existence TBH.

I have only used revivals once, I found it good but for me not worth delaying journey home by an hour or more, so have never bothered since. Ideal though for passengers connecting to another flight or going straight to work. I am sure that for some it all part of the UC experience.

Mitchja - I was in there Tuesday morning as well (VS40) but it was really busy while I was there, busiest I've ever seen it and I don't think they were used to it as it made the service really slow.

Generally speaking I love the revivals lounge though, as I usually go straight into the office so I skip breakfast onboard and eat and have a shower in there first. Having said that, I have no problem with it being busy as long as it doesn't make service too slow, otherwise I might as well use the extra time to pop home!

Ditto. We used it once for the sake of using it but have since decided to head straight for the HEX.

I love the Revivals Lounge. Great place to shower and change before connecting flight to Belfast. Unfortunately coming back through Manchester next time and I will miss it.

Revivals isn't very big and you can imagine that it may get pretty busy at times in the future if this change ups the number of people using it. The problems occur when a few flights land in quick succession in the early morning -- something that you can't really do much about, given the inherent unpredictability.

The first time I used it I thought it was fantastic. Over the years, like other posters, it got to the point where I would skip it and just head onwards.

Makes sense. Seems odd to share departure lounge but separate arrivals ones that don't admit each other's pax.
Not been to revivals in a long time owing to arriving after it closed but the showers are always very welcome!
I'd rather take a busy revivals than no revivals. Same with the CH.

I was in there last month at 0800 and the next treatment slot was not till 1230, even though the lounge didn't appear very busy. Dread to think what it would be like with any more passengers....

Coming off the HK flight very early, Revivals is fantastic and often busy. Never crowded though
