Passenger Information

I'm about to complete my passenger Information for my upcoming flight to MIA. We are staying one night in ft Lauderdale before heading off on an 11 night caribbean cruise, then 2 nights in Miami.

My question is when completing the information the va website gives you various options for destination, cruise for instance. Do I just put joining cruise, or should I put staying in USA as we have the night in a hotel pre cruise. I don't want to get in trouble through my ignorance :-D

Just put the hotel address of your first night in the USA. (The wording on the old green I-94 form used to be "Address of your first night in the USA").

TBH, the question is completely pointless, as if you are joining a cruise the following day (as the OP is) or on a fly-drive holiday, it's not as though they are going to be able to track you down to your first nights address. But, as with all things US Immigration related, fill in the form / provide the info, smile at the officer etc..

Yes, as your first night will be in the US, I would put that down. It seems to be the first night that CBP care about - you can always mention the cruise if you're asked about your plans at US immigration.

We have flown in to Miami a couple of times & stayed in hotel for one or two nights prior to joining cruises in FL & have always given hotel address.
