Re-vamped Virgin Atlantic 747-400 LGW to MBJ Questions?

My friend & I are traveling from LGW to MBJ early next year on this plane, and I just wondered if the re-vamp had made much difference?
This is a special trip for us and we are flying out in PE and returning in UC, in the hopes of getting some sleep and we were wondering what it was like now!
Also as one of us has a dairy allergy, we are having their Dairy free/non Vegetarian option. Has anyone had any experience of this food choice?

Much difference? It was finished 3 years ago. Much better IFE system, that's the main difference. Upper suites were refreshed. But PE being split upstairs was the worst thing about it.

I flew this route back in 2012 and did PE up in the bubble, this time we are in PE in the main body and UC on return...which I have never experienced before

I'm flying to MBJ for Christmas. UC outbound and PE returning. I wanted to experience the clubhouse that everyone raves about as it is a great way to start your holiday. I can't sleep on planes, as long as I have good legroom as is the case in PE, I am good to go. To each their own, I think you will get more bang for your buck on the outbound journey. Safe travels in January.

Enjoy your Christmas away and enjoy the clubhouse experience & the UC outbound
I love flying & hope to be able to video lots on the OB flight.... but ohh to sleep on the return journey will be such a bonus!
