V-Flyer

Evening. I've been reading the new website woes thread for the last few days, interestingly I found my new FC number assigned to me in my upcoming booking in MMB and logged in with previous password no problem. Mileage appears to be correct but I'm red and also silver (the correct status) on the same page.

My query is around passengers on my booking. I'm booked with my wife and infant to DXB in a couple of weeks - my infant daughter no longer appears on my booking (wife and I do). She definitely did before the website "upgrade". This was booked through VH, and my baby still appears in the VH booking details. Interestingly, I was unable to reserve my seat previously as we have an infant bassinet reserved and she is "attached" to me... now I seem to be able to. It looks as if VS have cancelled her off my booking!! Does anyone kno if this is an issue with the new site? I haven't tried calling VS yet.

My tickets are Gs to LAX and also appear to have "removed" the infant, doesn't obviously show in the passenger details anywhere on MMB. However if I do a View Receipt the little one appears there by name.

The adult that the infant was "attached" to also still shows a childs meal requested in MMB. I too seem to be able to select seats for all of the party whereas before I had to get FC to assign seats for the adult and "attached" infant.

My flights aren't until March next year so was intending to let the dust settle around the site changes before seeking clarification. Would be interested if you find any more detail before your flights.

So I've now spoken to VS. I rang the special assistance number given the query was kind of related to an infant. The lady on the phone was very helpful and, although she said she should put me through to reservations, would have a look for me. I was reassured that the infant was still on my booking, but the new system VS has will not display this on the website. Bassinet and bulkhead request still there etc etc. I advised that this was a step backwards and a bit odd, I get they point they do not have a seat...but she has a ticket!

I was also advised that I was able to check online 24 hours before and could see what seats we had been allocated at that time, a change to previous where you'd have to wait till you got to the airport to see what you had been given. I guess that is an improvement! I'll wait with bated breath though to see if we actually can....
