Hi all

I've been trying all day to got through to the flying club using 0344 412 2414, is there an alternative number because I've tried on 4 different occasions and been on hold for ages!

Thanks

Trevor

Help, just tried again tonight and once again been on hold for 45 minutes, there's got to be an issue with the lines?

I use 0344 742 4385 but that's the Gold line.

Nope, they are just busy. Took me 90 mins on hold, but got there eventually.
Grossly understaffed for the amount of issues they have at the moment, plus when I got through to the agent, he kept on having to put me on hold to "verify things work the same way on the new system", so what should have been a 10-15 min call max (availability check that wasnt clear on the site, and then ultimately a booking), took 35ish mins.

Today, patience needs to be a virtue

Probably busy with people trying to get into their FC accounts!

I called them this morning, using the number Trev mentioned - sited about 10 minutes before I got through to a person, which I didn't think was bad. Then spent about 25 minutes talking to the guy, who was helpful, but not able to totally resolve the new FC number migration issue. He also had to keep going off 'to check something with someone'. Eventually, he suggested I left everything for a few minutes and then tried again and offered to call me back. We agreed on 12 noon - you won't be surprised to read that he of course didn't call back! In the meantime though, we'd sorted the problem by leading cookies....

Have to admit, I felt a bit sorry for the guy, he seemed under a lot of pressure. Might it not have made things easier if there could have been some kind of automatic migration set up? Or maybe that isn't something that can be done?

Sorry, that should read clearing cookies and waited 10 mins, not sited! Wretched predictive text!

Don't think it is just Flying Club. My mate works for VA and he has been roped into overtime to help on the phones over the last week or so as they are so busy.
