Sleepy greetings from the LHR clubhouse

Evening all!

Just enjoying a Dark & Stormy whilst waiting on my tapas. Upgraded from a busy Y cabin to a more quiet PE seat on today's VS25.

Refurbishment works are in full swing by the looks of it. The cloakroom has taken up residence in the old Hot Tub room, and the front desk is shifted a little further inward.

The corner around the Library is walled off.

I'll take some pictures and upload them when I get home (I can never figure out how to do it on my phone!). Despite the construction work everything looks very neat and tidy and the service so far had been top notch.

Cheers!

Enjoy, I've just checked into the Hilton at LGW ☹️️but thoughts of a clubhouse visit here tomorrow may just keep me going.

Enjoy the upgrade and safe onward travels.

Enjoy the LHR CH (assuming the builders don't wall you into the CH for the duration) and hopefully a smooth flight over !

Hesitate to say to Marshy to enjoy the Hilton overnight but I'm sure she'll enjoy the LGW CH in the morning :-) You'll be getting to beautiful ANU a couple of days ahead of us as we're flying out on Monday (on Dark Side as VS were too expensive this time) ... so no CH for me, get chucked in the No1 lounge as BA lounges shut :-(

Whiterose, I think you've got to share the island with the rest of us!

Safe onward flights everyone, I will make FULL use of the CH tomorrow and no doubt manage a wave.
