Hello folks, we're at the Radisson overnight before our flight tomorrow on VS1 to spend Christmas and New Year with family in NJ.

Drove down from Yorkshire today and were lucky to get far enough down the M1 to be unaffected by a complete closure due to an accident.

We usually stay overnight with family in Buckinghamshire but they are away, hence the hotel. We have fingers crossed the weather in NYC doesn't affect the flight. Hiljil bless her gave me a heads up about the website announcement. Our son in NJ says heavy snow is forecast but only overnight tonight, followed by rain. OLCI done, they were asking for volunteers to take a different flight (seemingly overbooking not weather related) with miles in compensation. I didn't volunteer.

Radisson seems good thus far. We plan the Steak and Lobster bar for tonight's meal and I'll include a line or two in my TR in case anyone wants the information for a possible future booking.

Keep your fingers crossed please that we get there tomorrow and meanwhile have a good evening.

Yes, definitely everything crossed for you tomorrow & anyone else trying to get away over the weekend.

Thank goodness you missed the motorway closure.

Enjoy your meal and hopefully have a good night's sleep ahead of a great flight tomorrow.
