Well it does seem to be becoming somewhat of habit, but Mrs Buns and I are sitting in the exclusively reserved section of the Marhaba Lounge waiting for our return flight to London.

Lo and behold, we once again bump into a V Flyer as we did last March!!!

So currently talking mileage deals and the like and of course the recent "enhancements" with Joey :-D :-D

Going to Dubai on Friday home the following Thursday
It's been a while since I visited Dubai, what's the lounge like on the way home

In advance of the detailed TR, what I will say is VS have worked hard to make this perhaps one of the best non Clubhouse downstream Lounges I have experienced (I have been to the old LAX, MIA and of course MCO and ATL).

Not only are you met at the door and escorted through to a dedicated section of the shared Lounge, a further member of VS Ground staff is on hand to look after you and ensure the serving staff pay you full attention.

It's a very good lounge, as buns has said, and there are VS employees in place making sure their pax are well looked after.

VS take places in the 'premium' section at the back of the lounge. There is plenty of seating and several different areas to occupy, including (as introduced) a warmer section of the lounge and a cooler section of the lounge... Just a slight variance in degree with the a/c I think, although I didn't really notice. Lots of outlets and 'free charge' stations dotted about and it is a fantastic place to just sit back and relax ahead of the flight.

There is a full bar service offered, a fantastic array of food available and my only regret was eating at the hotel prior to arrival. The breakfast spread looked incredible; full English, continental selections, as well as sandwiches, cakes and a couple of healthier options.

Whilst I missed out on sampling the food menu, plenty of coffee and excellent conversation with a fellow V-Flyer in the lounge was very welcome too :-P
