Clarification on the US laptop/battery/portable power laws

Hi all,
Where is this sitting at the moment. Seen loads of rhetoric about it, but I am seeing multiple conflicting articles on the matter.
Is the UK laptops on flights thing happening? Travelling handbaggage only, it could be a real PITA.
Anyone got anything definitive on it at the moment?

Cheers

J

Where are you travelling to/from?

Currently no destinations served by VS are affected by any kind of laptop/tablet ban. Honestly the best source are the airlines themselves - for example, third article down (Aviation Security Measures) on the VS website: https://www.virginatlantic.com/gb/en/tr ... -news.html

There was mention it was a possibility a few weeks ago, but nothing came of it. It sounds like the usual nonsense spouted, and a MASSIVE pain for both countries involved... So I reckon its pretty unlikely. Probably Trump trumping.
