Bangs head against wall

Have just been on hold to Virgin Upper-Class line for about 12 minutes.

I am booked in I class and have booked my chauffeur to Heathrow.
My friends, in Upper, on the same flight, live a short distance away.

I enquire if the chauffeur can pick them up en route? No, because they are in Z Class, they don't get a car.

I explain that I don't want an extra car for them.

"We don't do diversions. Sorry"

"There's every chance we'll pass their house on the way."

"Well, you could ask the driver. He might charge you though."

Why is nothing ever easy with Virgin?

Chauffeur rules are understandably not bent.

I'd tip the driver and ask very nicely if he could pick them up. I think most would be ok with it.

You friends could come to your house, or you could go to theirs and all be picked up at the same time?

From the website

Can I share my car with another eligible customer travelling in Upper Class from a separate address?,

Yes, if the address is en-route and the journey would be convenient for both of you. Pick up times may need to be adjusted.

To book a shared journey, please call our Upper Class team on +44 (0)344 412 4666.

The other customer isn't eligible.
