been trying to book an upper reward return but the return date i require is unavailable, i can get upper outbound but my preferred return date has nothing in upper, my question is how do i select upper outbound and PE for the return leg using miles ?? thanks in advance.

Two options that I can offer.
1) book them as two separate flights, the miles paid should be the same.
2) Do it by phone instead. I have always found them very helpful.

Or check for alternative return dates and extend your trip.

You could just select premium economy as the cabin you want. It will display PE & Upper availability. Should be able to do it online
