Hi all,
We're keen to book Ex EU UC flights to Hong Kong followed by San Fran. Please can you advise where is the best sites to book these? Which European cities should we be exploring to fly from?
Thanking you in advance.
Gavla

Good timing!
I'd like to know this too with upcoming trips to USA and Australia!

Airports include
DUB / AMS / CLP / OSL / INV / CDG / LIS / HEL
It really is a case of using something like google flights to explore the options as what might offer a cheaper deal for SFO might not be so good for HKG
Remember when considering ex-EU you need to take into account the cost of the positioning flights and possible hotels too and sometimes those actually mean you have made only a marginal saving as well as the risks of what happening if your positioning flight goes wrong and you miss the start of your 'real' trip ...

Also don't forget that with any ex-EU ticket, your contract of carriage is from A to C (the interim B airport is irrelevant). So if your return journey goes t1ts-up due to aircraft / weather issues, the airline are free to re-route you from C to A as they wish. The fact that you wanted a stop in airport B on the way home [to skip the last flight] is irrelevant. You could easily end up back in airport A with all your baggage and an expensive onward trip back to the UK .

For non VS flights:
Qatar Airways are now the DFS of airlines. There's always a sale on, and their business product is good by all accounts. Plus you earn BA Tier Points and Miles.
It's worth signing up to the newsletters of Head For Points and Turn Left For Less, as they highlight all the latest ex EU sales.
For now, VS have great fares ex DUB, and BA have great fares ex INV (to East Coast USA)

I'd like to say I was testing you all to make sure you read my post but I admit to fat paw syndrome!
