Any idea the purpose of this flight to Mia operated by one of the A332s?
Won't allow me to upload screenshot unfortunately.

It's probably a positioning flight. Has a flight from Miami gone tech?

Hmmm nope, VS118 returned this morning as scheduled, and no VS6 was on the cards yesterday.
Could it be some kind of training flight?

I was out and about yesterday near Glasgow Airport when G-VMIK (Honky Tonk Woman) roared overhead which was unusual because
a) there's no Virgin service from Glasgow in February
b) it was 4pm so too late for usual service
c) it was one of the new(er) A330-2s
I checked it out on Flightradar later and it headed up to Inverness, turned around and landed back at Glasgow. It was indeed a training flight. It then re positioned down to Heathrow to operate the Heathrow to Miami flight today.
I have heard that it's a special charter, not a training flight thus the first revenue flight of the A332.

VS9*** flight numbers are often used for charter flights, often connecting to/from cruises.

It was a staff charter to/ from Miami to check all systems were working and to get feedback and make sure everything is ready for the 1st March.
