I'd be interested to know if a service will be dropped in favour of this.

Maybe this is the result of an B787 being available as the A330-200s are staying. Hopefully we will see some more similar announcements for flights from MAN

This after SAA has reduced their flights from 2 to 1 on the route as they are not able to make the route profitable , at the same time BA manages to fill 2 A380’s daily.

If they get the times right this could increase the utilisation of the 789s given one sits in Joberg most of the day doesn’t it?

Very surprised at this, the first capacity increase heading east since the DL investment! Maybe DL are seeing value in transit through LHR, be interesting if we see anything else.

I have just arrived at HKG off the 206 and we had full premium and upper cabins but a very quiet economy. I think VS will be hoping the VA tie up will boost that.

Hearing reports as well that Seattle isn’t performing strongly... not sure if they’re to be believed but if they need to cut to start extra Joberg, that would be my bet, hand it back to DL.

DL's service to PHL will be ending in the coming months and I've not seen any news of what will replace it. Same with those slots they bought from Croatia Airlines a year ago.

SAA are going through financial difficulties and making cuts, so it wouldn't surprise me if this is VS taking advantage of these frequency reductions to increase their service and gain more market share.

Not surprised Seattle isn't performing well if Novembers prices are anything to go by, the cheapest return economy fare is coming up at £2000 from London.

Surely that suggests the flights are very full?
