Virgin Lounge access JFK airport

Hi. Just wondered if anyone might be able to help...we are flying Upper Class from Manchester to JFK. We will then have a three hour wait until our next flight (a separately booked ticket) from JFK to Las Vegas in first class. Would we be entitled to get access to the Virgin Upper Class Lounge? Just wondered if anyone knew. Thanks!

which airline is the JFK-LAS flight on as that will help determine if you get access or not.

As it's a separate booking, it's highly unlikely sorry unless your onward flight is a Delta flight and you have any form of Elite FF status with them (i.e Diamond, Platinum or Gold Medallion).

Separately booked First Class US domestic flights don't include lounge access unfortunately.

As above then, unfortunately, unless you have any kind of Elite status with Delta, the answer will be no unfortunately.

Yes, and furthermore, you will not even be able to access the Delta lounge itself!

It seems US airlines reserve their lounges for their frequent flyers, not for Biz/First class flyers.
A Delta FF flying economy will be let in, but you on a 'First Class' ticket, but without status, will not !

My work once paid $3200 to fly me Delta First Class JFK to SFO, but I got no access to lounge.
US airlines are to be avoided, whenever possible.
