Has anyone flown on one of the Ex Air Berlin A330's yet. do you have pictures of the interior. specifically interested in Upper Class as have this booked in June. would have preferred the Old VA UC but hoping this will be ok. Have seen all the Air Berlin photo's and videos but it would be nice to actually see or hear from someone who has flown on them as Virgin.

They are pretty shabby. Very dilapidated and the most uncomfortable business class seat I’ve sat in. Food was also the worst I’ve had across a dozen or so UC flights, not sure if that’s a coincidence but it wasn’t a subtle difference.
I’ll be avoiding them unless/until they are refitted. Is delta an option for the route you’re looking at?

we are already booked so I don't think there any options to change now.

You could *try* and see if VS can switch you to either a LHR/LGW departure (depending on where you are going).
I've no idea if they will let you do this though or if VS will charge you a fee though sorry?
It's going to probably depend of the ticket type you have unfortunately.

As I said in my trip report on the VS110 it isn't the same as VS Upper but I'm sure it could be worse and the food was fine etk must have been very unlucky. You do read some reports of broken seats etc on VS aircraft.
One strange point the menu on our flight from ATL on 26.3 was totally different from that described by Dicky D in his report on the flight from MCO the day before. Is this normal?

I believe the Upper Class menu is on a 3 month cycle so it could well of just been in the process or changing over towards the end of Match.

Likely to be that two different caterers are at play here. Out of MCO its FlyingFood and out of ATL its GateGourmet. The menu is somewhat different between the two caterers.

Will we see the first 332 leaving at the end of October for refit at Xiamen? Presume the winter timetable brings VS some slack.

Based on the reviews and videos from YouTube we decided to book our LAX flights from LHR rather than MAN. Dreamliner or a scratty old A330? It's a shame that after expanding so much from Manchester, the product is so poor in comparison to LHR, no clubhouse, vastly inferior product in all classes on the aircraft.

Normally I would agree with you Bobby, but it depends when your flight is as the A332s are all being refurbished by the end of the year.
