Landing view in Upper

I recall on my last flight to SFO almost 10 years ago the view on approach was stunning as you fly over Marin headlands, the GGB, Alcatraz and the city itself before circling round to land. Back then i was in the very back of economy in the 2 seats rows, however my next trip there will be in upper class and I was wondering if you can even see out of the window when you are strapped in and facing the other direction?

First world problem for sure, but I was talking about it to my fiancee yesterday and it got me thinking.

We are booked in the A row so at least will be near a window.

Remember in UC the seats are angled away from the window so involves a little bit of contortion to be able to see out.

Unfortunately though yo can never guarantee being given that particular flight path - most of mine into SFO have been quite boring. The one time we were routed over the bay etc was on departure and the plane was banking at the time so all I saw was the lovely blue sky!

We did that exact route in on VEIL a few years ago, no problem twisting my neck then!
