Hi just curious if we have booked our package holiday via virgin holidays with upper class what ticket code should we expect on our tickets would it be the lowest of the low lol

Yes, it's usually a Z fare when booked via V Hols.

It will probably be Z as said above, but there is no "lowest of the low" about it. You are as valued as the next person.

So what’s the difference then other than no car to airport?

There is no difference in terms of the service you receive (other than airport transfers as you have already mentioned).

An Upper Class Z fare purchased via V Hols (or any other agent) is the same as a Z fare booked directly with VS.

The differences are in how flexible the ticket is if you need to cancel or change your travel plans. Z fares also have to be booked at least 6 weeks in advance. There's no refund if you have to cancel or change your flights with a Z fare.

Higher Upper Class fares (I, D or J) offer varying levels of flexibility when it comes to canceling or changing dates.

The higher Upper Class fares do also offer double the tier points (200 each way instead of 100 for a Z fare).

The same rules apply to fares regardless of where you purchase them.

I fare coded tickets also don't get a car either.

Worth noting, that an I fare is still useful as it earns 200 tier points each way, but the same miles as Z. As mentioned, it has no car transfer now which kind of sucks. But if you need TP's and it is only a few hundred more than Z (which one some routes is usually the case) - it is worth it. It's also changeable which Z is not - so it has that benefit too. Any shadow of a doubt regarding changes to a trip, book I and not Z.

VH can book fares other than Z, it just requires them calling their ticketing team, who then call VS and get the price etc. It's a little going around the houses, but I did it once and it was fine. Worth the (then car) and extra TP's.
