LHR > Arrives LAX = Fare code QJUF57MW
Departs LAX > Arrives LHR = Fare code QKUF57MW
And for my own reference how do you work it out?
Thanks!

those are fare rules rather than fare codes.
There is usually something in manage bookings / email confirmation that indicates the actual fare code - a single letter - W/S/H/K in PE for example. I think only W,S & H are upgradable

If you attempt to reproduce your search on the VS app, you can see the single letter fare code easily when looking at More Details

You only see the fare codes when viewing your booking using the VS app and not the desktop version or it’s on the email booking confirmation if you booked directly with VS.
As Tonty mentioned, it needs to be a H, S or W to be upgradable using miles. K Premium Economy fares are not upgradeable with miles, unless you upgrade it to a higher PE fare first using cash.

Without wishing to confuse, can you still upgrade a K with Flying Co miles?

I’ll answer my own question. Yes you can. I hadn’t realised the Flying Co section was back up and running online.

Thanks for the tip on using the App; very helpful. Turns out it was a non-upgradeable "K" fare so it's worked out cheaper to just buy some more miles and do a full G reward flight rather than upgrading.
