My son and daughter both have 13,000 miles in their accounts which expire shortly. They are probably not going to use them as they won't be flying VA anytime soon.
Whats the best way to use them, do you think it's good value for me to purchase them £390 for 26k miles, or is there another way they can use them on something else?
Thanks,
Cath

Are you VS Gold? You could set up a household account, if so, and get the miles gratis.

what I would consider doing is do something that would earn some VS miles to extend the validity for 3 years. That would give you some breathing space to decide what you actually want to do with them.
A cheap train ticket booked on Virgin West Coast trains website and travelling on a West Coast service should do it. You can collect the tickets from your local station and not actually travel.
An advance ticket from Manchester to Stoke can be got for as low as £4.20 so a cheap way to extend the miles in their accounts. An advance ticket also gets the miles into your account quicker as well - usually within a few days of the 'journey' (other cheaper routes may be available - that one just came to mind)
