I was surprised not to see this mentioned here, but I see it has been, buried in another thread, so I thought the topic should deserve a thread of its own!

Thanks for the heads up!

Anyone know how miles boost works with reward flights already taken, since no miles were earned at the time of travel?

You can claim miles booster retrospectively for flights up to 6 months ago.
This is regardless of whether they were revenue or rewards flights.
You need to call Flying Club and they can sort it for you.

Hope this helps

It's worked out on the 100% base mileage on each route, for example LHR>JFK = 3457 miles one way (or 6914 miles return).

The full table of base miles earned on each route can be found here

The only stipulation for the miles booster is that the flights must have a 'VS' prefix i.e. anything booked via Delta for example, even if it uses VS metal but has a DL flight number won't be applicable for a miles booster.

Mitchja,
Can you explain base miles please?
I flew out PE earning 4343 and back in Uppper earning 8686
I now want to do a double miles boost.
I was expecting to be able to get 26058 plus 30%
Is that not correct.

Cancel that question I have found it on terms and conditions.
Phoned up just know and bought 22547 miles for £173
All sorted

The milage you earn isn't necessarily going to be the same as the base miles. Ignore any cabin and Flying Club tier bonus. The base miles is the same on every route regardless of cabin flown in or your Flying Club AG / AU tier bonus.

Which route are you working it out on?

Using my upcoming flights as an example:

LHR>ATL return, base miles flown = 4198 miles one way

(ignore the cabin you are flying in)

This figure is found in your VS online booking as 'Miles flown: 4,198'. This figure is the actual number of miles flown This does actually slightly differ to the figures VS quote on the base mileage table.

Return miles boost x 1 + 30% bonus = (4198 x2) +30% = 10,915 rounded up for £83.96
Return miles boost x 2 + 30% bonus = [(4198 x 2)x 2] +30% = 21,830 rounded up for £167.92
