Hi,

Does anyone know if there is any form of priority security at Orlando International Airport (MCO) for UC passengers?

Thanks

There is, but it’s a bit of a red herring.

While there’s a fast-track queue for the initial passport and boarding pass check, it just dumps you into the same (normally very long) queue for the scanners as everybody else.

If you have TSA Pre+ on the other hand (which comes with Global Entry), there is a dedicated and genuinely fast-track security channel.

Thanks for this. Just a followup question - How do I find the "fast track" queue? and can UC passengers use it?

Yes, it’s available for UC and FC Gold passengers who should have “Sky Priority” marked on their boarding pass.

I believe the priority queue is the far left of the 4 or 6 queues for Gates 70-129 security, near the lifts that take you up to the Hyatt hotel - on the right of the map here: https://orlandoairports.net/getting-around-mco/

But I repeat - it is nothing to get excited about, it is nowhere near what we’ve come to expect from Fast-Track security at LHR or LGW. It’s more like MAN, but a lot worse.

DO leave on time indeed for the security at MCO. Even if you have prio it doesn't mean much at Orlando. Sometimes it's so badly organised and long queues it could cause people to miss flights. It can take very long there sometimes. You might get lucky but i had some horrible experiences there.

I have no status whatsoever with Virgin but the last two times I've flown home from MCO, I've had TSA Pre Clearance on my boarding pass! Result! Idon't have a clue as to why but it was a big perk.

Traveller2 - I think it must be random. Last year my daughter had it but not the rest of us, so if they would give it to a child without a parent, I can only assume that it is randomly assigned!
