Tier points for US internal flights on VS codeshare

I'm really surprised I've never had this situation before, as I take a lot of connecting flights on Delta metal having flown VS metal TATL, but guess these must all have been DL tickets previously. So, in a few weeks I'm flying the following :

1. LHR-ATL VS103, PE S ticket
2. ATL-MEX VS4957, PE S ticket
3. MEX-ATL VS4968, PE S ticket
4. ATL-EWR DL1920, PE W ticket
5. JFK-LHR VS138, PE S ticket

Segments 1, 4 & 5 I'm pretty clear on - 100, 10, 100 tier points respectively, since segment 4 will be Delta Comfort on a DL ticket.

But how do segments 2 & 3 work? They will I guess be Delta Premium Select, but they are listed as VS S class tickets, which would be 100TPs - which I really can't believe. I see nothing anywhere on tier points for VS codeshare. I'm assuming they are more likely to equate to Delta P or A (US non-domestic), so 20TPs

Anyone know / got experience of this?

Thanks, Neil

Sectors 2 and 3 will get you the Comfort+ earning rate - unless things have drastically changed they use domestically configured aircraft for that route. If/when you view your Delta segments on DL.com you are given a Comfort+ seat to choose for ATL-MEX-ATL :-) So 10TPs each for those.

At the moment I don't believe DL have Premium Select on any sub-3000 mile route currently.

You'll get 10TPs for each of those. I was on same fare code S and W a few weeks ago connecting on and from VS flights as well.

Thanks for the comments.

This is pretty much what I would have expected tbh, but was a bit surprised by the ticket codes.

HI guys I didn't want to start a new thread and this was the closest.

I have booked a return SFO-SEA in First Class, booked on Delta.com, entirely on Delta Metal. Now the fare I thought was little bit expensive but not extraordinary so.

On looking its booked me in to an I class fare but states "First Class".

Now, my question is according to this https://www.virginatlantic.com/gb/en/fl ... lines.html for an I class DL ticket under 3000 miles I should get 40TP per sector, which goes against conventional logic that each DL sector in internal first class earns 20, but its there in Black and White!

Hmmm! Interesting as I didn't think DL used I fares for domestic first class, only Delta One. Will be interested to see what that earns you Col, but 40 TPs sounds pretty clear cut according to that chart! :-D

Don't be surprised if the tier points you get differ from what the chart says. For my last two Delta RT flights I was given more than what the chart states. I even got 75 tier points for each segment of a "P" fare ticket a few months ago. Not sure how or why but it makes keeping Gold a lot easier. ;-)
