Maybe they could make small modifications to the seats they already have. They could take each aircraft out for a couple of weeks and maybe add a storage compartment and potentially make the doors close further as these seem to be the main downsides of the current product.

When I flew back on PRD, the privacy screen on 1K was already broken as it’s wouldn’t click and stay locked in its closed position.

Both PRD and DOT have also not yet received the table mods either.

I personally hope VS do ditch the A350 J seat as it’s not the best seat by any means. The seat control buttons are too fiddly and not accessible when the table is out. It’s also like the old Delta One seat in that when reclined by more than a few degrees, you struggle to get out of it.

Does anyone know what the registration of MSN 605 will be? It appears it will be the next A350 to be delivered.

MSN numbers are now available for the next 3 A350s:

#10 MSN 605 test reg F-WZGU - final assembly line
#11 MSN 647
#12 MSN 655

Registrations unknown at this point as VS have been switching them around so much but I would have thought they would most likely be 3 out of the 4 of these: G-VWHY, G-VELJ, G-VNVR & G-VBOB

Do we know yet if these will be the high 44-J or low 16-J config? Which Upper Class seat will these get I wonder? Can't see any reason why the newest A339 J seat wont fit in the wider A350 cabin?

VS really really need to start standardising they J cabins!

I believe all of the remaining 5 will be in the leisure configuration.

Although that was a pre covid plan so the thinking might have changed somewhat. I suspect it will all be as planned but interesting to see if they tweak the configs around.

They’ll get the current 350 seat - not the 339 seat. As that’ll have been agreed as part of the procurement process.

To be honest, it’s superior to the 339 seat anyway (in my opinion!)

The next A350 (msn 605) has now been painted.

The confirmed registration is G-VBOB named ‘Soul Rebel’

Is there a delivery date for G-VBOB yet? It has had its second test flight already.

I hope that happens too. But given the financial implications of doing so, I am not holding my breath.

I cant see VS getting any more A350 deliveries this year now? Whilst there are a couple of new route launches coming up, I would imagine the leisure config A350s will be delivered next year as I really don't think the demand is there especially over the winter months?

Though I guess is down to what VS plan to do with rest of their fleet. Are the A333's staying or going? Will the B789's get refitted?

VS have already deferred some of their A339 orders this year and given those delivery slots to DL.

I believe they are both due for delivery in early 2024, along with another A339 which is on the production line (MSN 2055).
