If I remember right VS have options for 6 more 789s. Perhaps they'll exercise them!

I do hope NYC gets some consistency fleet wise going forwards once the A350's come online as it's currently a mix of B789's, A333's and A346's depending on which flight you get and what day you fly.

Not sure if there's any reason behind it?

That's correct but nor are they putting it on the JFK flights that don't have F.

This could be an opportunity for VS to get in with operating all JFK flights with the new seats and grab some BA customers who'll have to wait a few years to get their bums on the new CW seat on this route.

BA will have Club Suites on some JFK flights by the end of the year with the refurbished 777's.

I also cannot see ATL being very high on the VS A350 route list either.

It's not like VS (or even DL for that matter) put their newest A/C on the LHR>ATL route. VS are using an A346 on the ATL route from LHR in June.

The article I’ve seen (from 2007) states 15 orders, 8 options, purchase rights for an additional 20.

Given that this is some 12 years old, I’m sure things have moved on but I think it likely that VS has rights to exercise if they so choose.

I could see them waiting for confirmation on the position on Connect and perhaps Thomas Cook before taking any major capital investment decisions.

Nice blog from VS confirming that V-LUX will actually be the first aircraft delivered then V-POP shortly after.

I think the red needs to come forward a bit to where the door is. Too much white which makes the tail look tiny

I need to book a flight on Sept 28th to NYC. VS1, 25 & 45 available. Anyone any idea of what rotation the 350 will be on?

It’s not been announced yet just that it’s JFK. There will be two delivered very close together and both operating JFK to start with but until they actually start revenue service we won’t know which flight numbers they are operating

Booked the 45, currently scheduled as the 346. I shall hope!

I've heard the first 4 will all service JFK.

There were a bunch of G fares available when the 787-9 first flew to BOS which I was fortunate to bag. I am sincerely hoping that will the case with the 10th September. :-D

A350 seat maps are now loaded into existing bookings  , whilst my VS138 flight is still saying it's an A333 in January 2020, the actual seat map says otherwise :-D :

It's given me the same seat number as I had before.

The outbound VS3 is still showing a 789 seat map so far.

Delta's much less interesting version of the same seat map (I'd booked this flight via DL):

Just checked and the VS137 on October 19th is the new A350. Super excited to try out the loft experience! It’s my better half’s first time flying Virgin Upper class so will be a nice treat. Changed from 2 window seats to the 2 middle seats. Hope it’s as good as it looks!

So I've done enough dummy bookings to determine that reward seats in any class are not available on the A350-1000 and that further more the flights don't even show up when searching. I've searched through September and October and can't find one flight. Do we think this is a conscious decision by VS or an AIR4 glitch?
