Evening All,

Great website, long time lurker but only ever posted once years ago!!

I’ve spend hours looking but I’m struggling to find an answer but we are due to fly out to Hong Kong on vs206/7 in a couple of weeks time. Would anyone know what the Premiem meal options are and what meals we will get , having only flown to the USA I’m intrigued what the service is like especially since it’s our first trip on a Dreamliner. Also just out of curiosity would anyone know what time it will get light during the flight

Thanks

I don’t know the exact choices but they won’t be overly different to the US routes perhaps with a Chinese option. On both flights it will be dinner and breakfast service. Yes you will have breakfast on the VS206 2hrs before landing at 5pm.

Alot of the flight will be night with the last few hours daylight on the VS206 but the windows blinds (of course no blinds on the 787) will be down as the sun will be shining brightly into the cabin. The VS207 will be night all the way.

I have just under 3 weeks myself to board 206/207.

The menu is very much similar to all the other VS flights. It is not vastly different.

There is always one Chinese option on each menu in Upper, Premium and Economy. At the very minimum there will be some asian inspiration on the menu. Other than that, really not much difference.

There are also some Chinese crew, and all announcements get done in English and Chinese.

I don't have a 206/207 menu to hand unfortunately, however you could try reaching out to VS on social media a few days before the flight. But I wouldn't rely on that option.

In terms of daylight time, both flights are treated as night flights anyway, meaning the crew trigger the blackout windows at set times and then open them for 'wake up' breakfast at a set time as well.

Some advice from a regular 206/207 traveller... stay awake for the outbound and then sleep at a normal time in Hong Kong. It's hard to do it, but leaves you less jet lagged in my opinion.

Avoid the Dim Sum on the return, absolutely disgusting

I might just give that a go ;) Always had the English breakfast which isn’t that brilliant either but fancy abit of a change.

Thanks everyone for your valuable opinions,

I hadn’t thought of staying awake I’ve even gone to the trouble to obtain a battery for my Cpap as I was considering trying it, albeit I will probably chicken out on the flight!!

Thanks
