It’s about 12 years since I flew out of MIA and wasn’t expecting much, but apart from the nightmare of the roads to the airport all being worked on it is miles better than I remember with the mover rather than bus from car rental drop-off and the new location in the airport being big improvements. Quite agree. My last arrival there I was in my hotel room in the MIA International within 20 minutes of leaving the plane !!
By contrast, I was expecting Philadelphia to be a quietish and stood in line for immigration for over 1.5 hours :-O

Hope you had a good flight.

Something that really annoys me about MIA is the carpeted corridors from/to the mover. The smooth vinyl type floors are so much easier with rolling luggage than any sort of textured floor, I just don’t get it. Maybe they think carpet is warmer in that frigid environment.
The Delta lounge is awful, Delta passengers that get to use the Virgin one at LHR must have thought they’d won the lottery after becoming accustomed to that offering in MIA.
