Using a Companion Voucher

Hi All
I have a companion voucher from the new Virgin credit card which I am looking to use. I am Gold so can book 2 x Upper seats, but I was wondering if anyone has experience of using these vouchers?
Am I able to book Delta metal or just Virgin? Are the call centres now better versed in the process (I read another thread on here in which many people mentioned most staff didn't seem to understand the new voucher).
Thanks!

I used one yesterday.

I was somewhat frustrated that I couldn't find any note in email nor on the My Account site that I'd even been awarded the credit card voucher, and I couldn't find the note that said I had a gold renewal companion voucher either, so I called the Flying Club number about 6pm on a Sunday, not expecting much...

The agent who eventually answered told me that I had both the credit card voucher and the gold companion one, but that the gold voucher could only be used when paying for one ticket but that the credit card one could be done on a miles booking.

We booked UC to SFO in February, no dramas, though the whole experience is a good bit more clunky than using a BA-Amex 2-4-1 voucher, since I had to pay for the tax on each ticket separately and despite being told the bookings were linked, they're on separate references and my companion didn't show up in the My Flights page until I added their booking reference myself.

Is there some "My Vouchers" section of virginatlantic.com that I'm missing or have they just not thought that bit through?

This is incorrect

The new virgin credit card provides a companion voucher that can be used with just miles, in the same way the BA companion voucher works.
The old virgin black card companion vouchers required a cash booking.

Has anyone used the new miles based companion voucher?

No, it's not.

Re-read what ewand wrote. He has two vouchers. One is for renewing Virgin Atlantic Gold, the other is from the new Credit Card.

Which is exactly what ewand reported to you.
