Hi all. I did an upper class miles redemption for LHR to LAX return and am due to return on 10/12. We wish to return earlier and believe (subject to availability) we can change these without charge. Ive searched online and seen there is very little available but would anyone with access to the ticketing loads indicate to me likelihood they believe of 2 UC reward sears back to London from either LAX. LAS or SFO between 3-9th of December?
Much appreciated
Nick

Hi Nick
Checking on EF which now shows reward availability, it only shows 1 seat from LAS-LGW on the 3/12, 1 seat on the 5/12 and 1 seat on the 9/12 all in premium, nothing anywhere else from either LAX, LAS or SFO in premium or upper (at the moment)
Whether VS releases anymore is known only to the "Gods" in revenue management.

Note also that changes to reward bookings are not without charge. There is a $50 change fee.
As David says, you’re in the lap of the gods I’m afraid. VS may or may not open up more availability - no one here can predict whether they will and loads are only one factor involved in the algorithm that decides.
Your best bet - which I appreciate won’t be very convenient and may not be possible at all - is to turn up at the airport on the day you want to fly and ask there. At T-24 flights become under local airport control and invariably I’ve found they’re willing to sell miles upgrades if there are unsold seats, so it’s conceivable they’d let you change dates if there’s room. No guarantees though.

Although not a consideration for the LAX/LAS routes which are always 787/747 one sure fire way for seats to open up in Upper is when an aircraft is changed TO a 346 with 45 seats in Upper vs 33 whenever this is done more seats open up. I have seen this with two reward bookings for 2019 where I have booked in PE as no UC, the a/c switched to a 346 and then there was a availability again in Upper!
