may have to cancel

A few weeks ago I booked an upper redemption to JFK and boosted it to take advantage of the current bonus offer. For family reasons I might now have to cancel the booking. Does anyone know what will happen to the boost - will I just lose the money? The Ts and Cs for Booster says that the points will be awarded even if you do not take a flight, but don't specifically say what happens if you have cancelled the flight.

sorry to hear you may have to cancel, i unfortunatly had to cancel an upper flight to mco last jan due to the passing of my dad, flying club were great and basically put my booking on hold until i was ready to travel which i did in october.
as it was a reward booking there was no loss incurred by me which i was surprised at, i was sure there would have been a penalty at some stage, but none to my surprise.
the original flight was cancelled by virgin and i was given the option to re - book within eight months, i phoned flying club in july and booked the same cabin and route for october with no issues at all, not sure how the boost works but for me with just a normal reward flight it was fine, good luck and i hope things work out for you, if you do have to cancel let us know how it go's as i would be interested how it works with the boost option.
