Economy Light for Au's - baggage allowed for whole party?

Hi - a question on AU benefits when in Economy Light.

we have a last minute budget trip coming in late January (NYC to LHR) and have just booked 'Economy Light', which was on super-sale. As an Au I can reserve seats, and get a checked bag - the question: does this apply to my partner and child as well? (all on same booking)

I can reserve seats for all 3 of us, so it seems that benefit apply to everyone in the party, but does the free Au baggage apply to each member of Au family as well? Worth knowing beforehand!

Thanks!

Flew BA to Lyon on a skiing trip a couple of years ago on BA & my Dad had OneWorld Emerald (I think) status on his American Airlines AAdvantage card. This status was from the days when he was working, so had not been topped-up in any way in the best part of 10yrs.

Everyone on the booking qualified for the extra free checked bag due to the Emerald status. If BA still offer this benefit, then it's a fair bet that Virgin to in order to compete.

(Edited to add - my Dad's AA AAdvantage card is "status for life" as he flew an awful lot with them when he was working).

BA’s Basic fares (the equivalent of VS Economy Light) do not include any checked baggage entitlement, even for those with status. Gold & Silver BAEC members (and OW equivalents) only get the extra bag allowance with a Standard fare (which allows a free checked bag in the first place).

As for VS - no idea I’m afraid. Sounds like a question for the Flying Club helpline.
