If you do some routing around, you can get better deals for other destinations.

For example, I've found LHR>FLL for ~£1550 return from the end of July to end of Oct for selected dates.

As is often the case these days, the best deals for Z fares seem to be destinations which involve a mix of VS & DL flight legs.

Yiu are allowed to quote the contents of the email including routes, flight dates and booking dates rather than just a bland posting that you got an email.

A route I’ve been watching for a wide range of dates just went up £400 in the sale

I'm very glad I booked my flight on Black Friday - the three destinations I have most interest in aren't well priced in this sale... and BA are offering some very good deals by comparison. Pretty disappointing as, if I do book another route for next year, I'll be hard pressed to justify going VA given BA's current deals
