Two years ago I booked UC return reward flights LHR - JFK for Xmas/NY very easily.

I've been stalking the VS website as I'd like to do the same for the end of this year but there never seems to be any UC reward seats released for the 08:50 or 12:30 flights.

As we want to use this flight as the 1st leg of an indirect journey to Orlando using VS for the transatlantic and Delta for the domestic leg, arriving late in the afternoon at JFK makes a very very late arrival in MCO which is not very nice.

Have VS stopped releasing UC reward seats for their morning flights to JFK and ATL ?

UC reward seats are available for both the 0850 and 1230 JFK flights tomorrow so no, they haven’t.

As ever, you just need to be persistent and keep checking regularly.

When exactly are you looking for? VS flights don’t go on sale until T-330 so flights for December 2019 aren’t available yet.

I know my flights haven’t been released yet as I’m looking for outbound December 14th and December 21st and eventually inbound for Jan 4th 2020.

I’ve just been stalking the VS website to see what the availability has been like in the days leading up to the dates I want and I’ve noticed that the 2 early flights never seem to have UC reward seats release no matter how many times I look or at what time I look (from 4:30am to midnight )

Ok well I’ve just checked four random dates in November - the 14th, 19th, 26th and 28th - and on all four there’s UC reward availability on one or both of those two flights.

True there are also dates - like the 22nd and 29th - when there’s none, but it’s certainly not the case that you can never get UC reward seats on those two flights.

There’s also a 1030 DL flight with plenty of availability on several dates in November, so that’s worth checking as well.

VS don't always release rewards at the same time as they release cash fares and so it can be variable as to when and if and on which flights they do.

4 UC rewards have appeared for next Wednesday morning that weren't there the other day when I checked (I'm thinking of flying earlier in the day than on my existing flight) and a couple of weeks ago a couple appeared on the very late JFK-LHR flight that weren't there the week before.
