Changing return portion of reward flight

Hi everyone, I have a 'G' LAX return booked. I want to change the return flight to the later flight of the day if-and-when availability turns up. Is it possible to do this without having to "rebook" the entire trip (i.e. if I call the call centre can they move me to the later flight without there having to be fresh availability in 'G' for the outbound flight in order for them to rebook the entire trip)?

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks!

Yes, you can change one leg without impacting the other. There may be a fee though, $50 IIRC.

You can definitely do a change like this - but there will almost certainly be a fee.

Back in June I was on the VS76 & then G availability opened up on the later VS74. Called Flying Club & they wanted £60 (£30 x 2 pax) to change to the later flight. We declined their offer as did nto feel it was worth if for an extra hour and a bit in Florida.

Is this official or is it a case of YMMV?
