Greetings From Delta Skylounge In DTW

Here’s hoping I’m not going to jinx this final leg of the trip, but here we are waiting for our final flight. Everything smooth thus far, including a remarkably quiet landing into DTW.
The trip - New Orleans to Nashville to Memphis to New Orleans for Mardi Gras - has been quite an adventure. We bottled out of Bourbon St last night after a long day of watching formal and informal parades. For the music and history geek (me) Memphis was the highlight, with the Civil Rights Museum, Stax and Sun studios and Graceland crammed into a two night stay. New Orleans looks to be well worth a repeat visit, as virtually all establishments that don’t sell alcohol (such as parks and museums) were shut for the weekend leading up to Mardi Gras itself. We also had something of an adventure on a bayou tour, but more of that anon.
