Using the arrivals lounge at Heathrow

I arrive into Gatwick next month and am travelling back to Edinburgh via Heathrow.

The cost of the BA flight from Gatwick to Edinburgh was nearly the same as a round trip economy ticket to JFK !

Bit of a if you don’t ask, you don’t get question but would I get to use the arrivals lounge at Heathrow when I get there. The VS flight into Gatwick is in Upper ?

Doubt it but wondered if anyone knew. ?

Thanks.

David

Good question. I can’t see anything that says you can’t, but you may have to argue your case. It’s something you should probably ask VS.

I don't think you can plus it adds an extra kink in your trip back in having to get from T3 to T5.

Remember revivals closes at 1.30 (ish) so it depends on what time you get to LHR after arriving at lGW.

Also the train from Gatwick to St Pancras then King's cross could be much cheaper than the plane.

Interesting one and not a scenario I should imagine that VS have planned for... I'd say give it a go and please do let us know.

It may hinge on the Revivals reception staff, a great bunch, and also how busy they are. As tonty says, remember that they do shut at 1330.

Good luck

VS do quote the following on their website:

If you're returning back in to London Heathrow on an overnight flight, don't forget about our Revivals lounge, offering everything you need to revive and re-energise after you land.

so that's going to be a no unfortunately if arriving in to London Gatwick.

Looks like a no based on a twitter enquiry, although I suspect its maybe been read incorrectly and they are replying about the Clubhouse

"Hi David, I'm afraid not. You'd only be able to access the lounge if your onward connection is a Virgin Atlantic flight in Upper Class, or if you're a Flying Club Gold member. I am sorry"

This page https://www.virginatlantic.com/gb/en/vi ... ounge.html

only mentions "At Virgin Atlantic's Revivals lounge we welcome Upper Class passengers and Flying Club Gold members arriving in the morning after an overnight flight.^" Specific airports aren't mentioned.

and the ^ says "^Access to Revivals is for Upper Class passengers and Flying Club Gold members only, there is no guest access."

I'm guessing, given the strange twitter reply, that a slightly differently worded question might furnish a different answer so it might be worth trying on the day as joey suggested.

thanks

Interesting question!

Do let us know if you find out.

BA do allow this so it would be good if VS matched it.
