A333 vs A332

Hi all

You may already know how excited I am to be flying in the A332 in UC from Gla in November. Imagine my horror as I woke up yesterday morning to find that they have changed aircraft type 14 weeks to the day to the 333

The main reason I booked to go VS UC was due to the fact that we would be going on this aircraft with the front facing (proper business class seats in my opinion) rather than the old coffin seats. This is the only date they have changed to the -300 and the rest of November and December has stayed the -200 so at least I will have this on the way back (fingers and toes crossed) but just my luck they have changed our date out to MCO. >-(
I am unable to change the flights and holiday dates due to already pre arranged commitments while away

Here are my list of questions that I would like help with

1. Can you easily look out the window without breaking your neck on take off and during flight as I am traveling with a very anxious flyer who must be able to see out the window  I am not overly fussed and would travel upside down and back to front as I just love flying

2. What is your preference and why between A and K seating, if you have a favourite seat on the -300 what is your reason

3. Can you use your own headphones on both these aircraft or will I need an adapter? ( I assume vs provide these)

4. Comfort levels, are the seats and recline just as good on the -300 as the -200

5. Is the seats on the -300 really like the coffin that some say they are? I really don't like feeling clostraphobic

6. Is the bar all it is cracked up to be? Should this be a must visit on the way out now?

7. VS WiFi how is best to pay and set this up? Anyone know the costs?

I know I probably sound ungrateful and this is 1st world problems but I have been so excited for 8 months about flying my first time in UC. This is a total dream holiday that I probably won't ever get to do again and have saved for so long to do so. I am still really excited and I know it's the whole experience but for me as an Av geek the seats where/are my highlight and I feel this has just taken away from the experience.

Please don't hold back when answering any of the above. If you love or hate the -300 or 200 then let me know why :D
Thanks
A very upset flyer

If you are tall like me then the 333 is WAY better! I dont come close to being able to lie down flat on the 332.

1. Can you easily look out the window without breaking your neck on take off and during flight as I am traveling with a very anxious flyer who must be able to see out the window  I am not overly fussed and would travel upside down and back to front as I just love flying

Yes. Easy enough. Slightly awkward maybe but I have always watched out the window on takeoff and landing no probs. My wife also very nervous flyer and likes to watch out windows, she is just as happy on 333 as 332.

2. What is your preference and why between A and K seating, if you have a favourite seat on the -300 what is your reason

A - aisle isn't shared. More luggage space above. More private. Much better.

3. Can you use your own headphones on both these aircraft or will I need an adapter? ( I assume vs provide these)

Yes. Just bring the 1 pin to 2 pin adaptor. Like 1 euro on Amazon.

4. Comfort levels, are the seats and recline just as good on the -300 as the -200

Personal preference. I prefer 200 as you can recline all the way to flat, rather than flipping over...But as I said, I'm 6ft 6 so the 200 is not great to sleep as not even close to long enough. The 300 is just about long enough...nearly!

5. Is the seats on the -300 really like the coffin that some say they are? I really don't like feeling clostraphobic

Nope. They're great! If anything I'd say the 200 are more claustro. In fact whole 200 cabin feels much more like a cave than the more open feel of the 300

6. Is the bar all it is cracked up to be? Should this be a must visit on the way out now?

We like it. Always sit for an hour or so for change of scenery. Not so much on a night flight though.

7. VS WiFi how is best to pay and set this up? Anyone know the costs?

Don't know. Like to switch-off on flights!

To sum up...pros and cons of both planes. I'd struggle to choose my favourite as in my mind there are equal amounts of pros and cons! But, I certainly wouldn't be disappointed to be on one vs the other.

If it helps, I’ve posted videos of Upper Class on both the A330-300 and A330-200 over on YouTube. The A330-200 review was before the refit. I’m flying one to Barbados in October and hope to post an updated review with the new Upper Class cabin.
Of the two, I do prefer the 333 as I find it difficult to get out of the 332 as a bed without putting it back to a seat. And obviously there’s the bar to socialise at on a day flight.

On the IFE there is a USB and on point plug (if that's why its call) is this an headphone point?
