Slight change to Upper Class check baggage allowances; which I shouldn't think will affect many people really but basically if you book a flight from Dec 9th, Upper Class baggage drops from 3 x 32Kg to 2 x 32Kg checked baggage on all routes.

Upper Class baggage allowance

Our checked in bag allowance for Upper Class is changing from 9th December 2019. If you book before the 9th, you can take up to three pieces of baggage, each weighing up to 32kg (70lb) and with dimensions of up to 90 x 75 x 43cm (35.5 x 29.5 x 16ins). After that date, it's two bags (the weight and size stays the same).

As far as I can see everything else stays the same including the 1 extra bag weighing upto 23Kg for all Gold Flying Club members.

I can see it affecting some people connecting with cruises (MIA springs to mind) as they rarely seem to travel light.

But no, in the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal.

I think the LOS route is another where the passengers don't tend to travel light. But otherwise I've never ever come close to this...!

The flexibility has always been useful for me, e.g. bringing a case of wine back from California - but the Au card will handily cover this in the future.

Premium has also been cut on the US and India routes from 3x23Kg to 2x23Kg

I thought US routes was always 2x 23kg in PE?

In fact, I've just checked and I was right in saying that it's always been 2x 23kg in PE, but for flights to/from Delhi it's 3x 23kg as you say including, it seems, for anyone connecting to/from the US.

Yes it does, it applies to all routes:

Passengers flying to or from Delhi, Mumbai, Lagos and Johannesburg

On some journeys, your ticket will include more than the standard baggage allowance if you book before 9th December. After that, it'll be the same.
