Flying Club Partnership with Virgin Trains to end

I just had this email from Virgin Trains.

A tad disappointing to say the least. Also removes a nice easy way of keeping miles alive without flying or purchasing something expensive.

Our partnership with Virgin Atlantic Flying Club will come to an end on 05 December 2019.
This means you will no longer be able to earn Flying Club miles on bookings made after 05 December 2019. Bookings made on or before this date will still earn 1 Flying Club mile for every £1 you spend.
Claims for missing Flying Club miles can be made by submitting a missing miles claim online via virginatlantic.com. Claims for missing miles must be made by 07 March

No surprise, given that Virgin Trains will soon be no more.

Which is more surprising, as the other First Group rail franchises are part of Nectar.
