UC seats SFO-LHR-SFO

I'm looking for guidance to research a problem. I have been a serious Virgin Atlantic lover for at least twenty years. I always loved everything about a flight on VS. However, the last couple of trips between SFO and London have featured seats that do not have variable recline. You sit up a little reclined or you lay flat. Neither of these is what I want. I want to put my seat in EXACTLY the position I want, just like the olden days. Every FA or Purser I've discussed this with understands exactly why I'm unhappy, so this is not just a self-absorbed issue. I've been flying other airlines for the past couple of years. I've heard that VS is bringing on new planes and am hoping things improve. I am perfectly willing to fly out of LAX or Vegas but of course would rather have a comfy seat out of SFO. How do I find out about the UC seats on these Virgin flights? My next trip is November 2020 and I'd surely like to book with Virgin.

Unless the seat was broken in my experience the existing UC seat (which VS has had for some considerable length of time) does recline a good amount before stopping though not full lay flat without flipping it over (which gives you a difference surface to sleep on than the seat mode)

The new full recline seats are on the A350 planes so you so you would need to check which plane is operating your flight which you can do by clickign the 'fligt details' (or similar wrding) in the bookign engine.

The article from one mile at a time has the currently planned A350 operations but these dates are dependant on the planes being delivered on time - and as BA has found out that is not always the case!

I must admit I've been spoiled by Qatar and their Q suites.... yet to try the A350 with VS so looking forward to how they compare
