V-Flyer

Looking at Flight Radar 24, I cant see that any of the 744's have been used in service today. VFIT worked the 412 from Lagos, but 346 flights are few and far between, no probably only 1 4 engine plane in use today, sadly a sign of things to come???

I suspect the lack of 747 action yesterday was down to a combination of maintenance, general slack in the fleet due to the time of year (January isn't exactly a busy month for flying) and VS having enough smaller aircraft available to operate yesterday's schedule. There's no point using a 747 for a flight if they can all fit on to an A330, and that's before we talk about the difference in operating costs and fuel consumption between the two aircraft.

I agree though it's a sign of things to come over the next 2 years.
