Hi guys n gals

Many years ago I booked a Roles from hotel 41 to the wing but the car wasn’t allowed up the ramp. Next Oct I will be flying down from Yorkshire to T5 and staying at Sofitel, next day to JFK with VA UCS. Is it possible to get a cab or something from hotel to the Upper Class wing now. Just want to have the experience really if its possible now.
Or will I have to HEX it and use the standard checkin and lift.
Thanks

last year I used Parker Cars from the Premier Inn at Terminal 4
I think it was about £25, they arrived on time and sent a text with a photo of the driver who met us in the lobby.
I think the driver just gives your flight number at the barrier and is allowed up.

Size of car is limited so perhaps the Rolls was just a little too big and exceeded these measurements off the VS website? No problem with a normal sized car

Maximum vehicle height is 4.4 metres, weight is 7.5 tonnes and length is 5.8 metres.
We can't accept stretched chauffeur cars or oversized vehicles like Humvees

You're onto something there, a Rolls Royce Phantom is indeed 5.83m long!

About a year ago we used London Heathrow Cars to transfer us from the Sofitel to the Upper Class Wing. Booked an executive car and they sent a Mercedes E-Class, which cost £21 at the time.
Driver and car were excellent, although he did miss the turn for the ramp and had to go round again :-O

Nice to see you in these parts egg :)
I’ve had an issue ( years ago ) with an overtly long vehicle and had to have it backed up and driven around to the normal drop off area. An ordinary cab ( or slightly smarter limo ) will be no problem. :) .I love The Wing - it makes checking in so much more civilized (and always use it when Mr DL is heading back down under).

We used London Heathrow cars for a transfer between the Renaissance and the UC Wing. It was an ‘executive car’ (Mercedes if I remember it right) and the cost was £19.
We have booked the same transfer again for this Thursday when we fly out to MIA.
Again, £19.

I'm with Dicky D. In fact I think I mentioned Parker Cars to him. They are reliable, cheap and have nice cars (we had a Merc last time). I think were quoted 9.00 from the Marriott to DTCI but we arranged a larger car for 11.00 if I recall to cope with the bags.

As with Quick Hits 1c, we used London Heathrow Cars for the transfer from the T4 Hilton last year. Smart Merc, about £20.
