VS operate a SMS service.
Send a message to +44 7481 339184 from the U.K. or 97634 for the US.
Even during normal situations, you often won’t get an instant response using this service though.
All channels will be slower than normal though.

My son was supposed to be flying to MCO next week. He phoned at lunchtime and it did say 2 hours wait but he got through in around 30 mins and was sorted.
So glad he'd used miles to book as it made things easier as price wasn't an issue.
Hope you're through soon,

Thanks all, after a long call with very helpful agent, nothing worked.
They had no availability in same UC fare class, on any randomly useful dates in June/ October. All there was was Eu600 extra, and these were random dates I was simply guessing might work out.
Ended up canceling and eating the loss (it was a sale Z business)
The one thing that truly annoyed was I offered to voluntarily downgrade to S class PE (from Z biz) at same price, on good dates that I could see availability for, but they were 'not permitting voluntary downgrades' by customers. THAT seems unreasonable to me - why not allow a downgrade, rather than force people scrambling to make like-for-like class re-bookings? They already have the payment for a biz seat, I'd only get a PE seat, and they can sell the UC seat once again. Seems a win-win for them, but 'Computer says No' (aka Manager). Sigh.
Hope everyone else has better luck than me.
